The Graduate School of Social Work and Social Research is a dynamic and inclusive community, deeply focused on creating social change through excellence in teaching and scholarship. The school is rooted in strong learning relationships between students and faculty, a close-knit community of students, and our shared sense of purpose and accountability to the many communities we come from and serve.

The faculty are national leaders in social work education and research, with particular strengths in health and mental health across the lifespan, and children, youth, and families. Please review faculty bios for specific areas of clinical, research, and policy focus.

Adjunct instructors bring additional depth of experience in the field, teaching courses closely related to their work in practice and policy.

Field Liaisons are exceptionally talented, seasoned social work practitioners who offer students mentioning and coaching for professional readiness. Additionally, field liaisons assess, monitor, and evaluate students' field learning experiences while serving as a link between the GSSWSR and the community. 

Research Associates are affiliated with the GSSWSR and are engaged in academic work relevant to social work; bringing specific strengths and expertise in areas associated with our strategic foci. Please review research associate bios for to read about their specific areas of work and expertise.

Additional administrative and teaching staff run a wide range of essential programs for the school, including Field Education, the Writing Center, and Career Development.

Students in the Ph.D. program lead and collaborate on research with faculty, and frequently teach in the MSS program.   

The Board of Advisors assists in carrying out the School's strategic plans by ensuring there are the resources necessary to carry out its mission.
